8+ Years in Mental Health

Gloria’s Story

At just eight years old, Gloria’s world crumbled when she lost her mother, the only parent she knew. She learnt what it feels like to be forgotten, abandoned and invisible—only silence, loneliness, and the pain of growing up too fast.

But in that silence, she discovered something powerful: kindness can heal what words cannot.

Despite loss, abuse, and depression, Gloria fought so hard to stay in school, holding onto hope when everything else was taken from her. That resilience became her purpose.

Today, Gloria is the founder of Heal the Minds International, reaching vulnerable children in under-resourced schools with books, meals, sanitary pads, counseling, and most importantly—hope.

most importantly—hope.

“You are not broken. You matter.”

With a small, committed team, she is lighting paths for children who feel unseen. Resources are limited, but her belief remains strong:

When you heal a child’s mind, you change their future.

And sometimes, all it takes is one light to lead many out of the shadows.
